Position: Floor Hockey Instructor
Employment Term: Part-Time / Contract (Hours vary)
Start and End Date: Ongoing (2026/2027 School Year)

We’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable Floor Hockey Instructors to join our team and support the delivery of the Junior Canucks Floor Hockey program in schools across Langley and Surrey. If you enjoy working with kids, are passionate about sport and physical activity, and want to build your leadership skills, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support floor hockey sessions for elementary school students
- Teach fundamental skills including passing, shooting, and gameplay
- Create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for all participants
- Set up and take down program equipment
- Maintain safety protocols and supervise participants at all times
- Communicate effectively with school staff and PSFV supervisors
- Adapt activities to suit different ages and skill levels
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children (schools, camps, or sport programs) preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Energetic, reliable, and professional
- Clear Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check (or willing to obtain)
Assets:
- Background in sport, recreation, or coaching
- Hockey or floor hockey experience (not required but preferred)
- NCCP or physical literacy certifications (or willingness to obtain)
Job Details:
- Contract Position | $20.00/hour | Hours vary based on school schedules
- Programs delivered during school hours
- Work primarily takes place in school gymnasiums
- Some travel within Langley and Surrey may be required
