Goals of XploreSportZ Programs:
1. Improve participants fundamental movement skills such as running, jumping, throwing, kicking, catching, and balance.
2. Introduce and work on sport-specific skills so participants feel confident to use these skills at school, on the playground, or anywhere else.
3. Provide an environment for participants to try new sports and activities in an inclusive and non-competitive environment that leave participants wanting to stay active all year round.
About XploreSportZ:
PacificSport Fraser Valley’s XploreSportZ Programs are fun, high energy and activity filled programs that offer participants with the opportunities to discover and try a variety of new sports in an inclusive and non-competitive environment that leave participants wanting to stay active all year round.
Our XploreSportZ programs correspond with the Canada Sport for Life Fundamental and Learn to Train stage and feature sports and activities led by certified coaches and focus on developing fundamental movement and sport-specific skills through a combination of well structured and unstructured play. Some sports that may be offered during programs are lacrosse, golf, curling, ringette, rugby, ultimate frisbee, netball, soccer and/or martial arts. Please note that sports offered are dependent on the season and coaching staff availability.
These programs are a great way to introduce your child to new sports in a friendly, safe, and fun environment!
