Coach Education

PacificSport is committed to providing quality educational opportunities for amateur athletes and coaches in the Fraser Valley. We endeavor to offer workshops in locations throughout the region and, whenever possible, we utilize the facilities of our partners. Please see below for more information on the National Coaching Certification program, as well as for a survey to indicate what courses would be beneficial for you and your sport. Safe Sport

“Safe Sport” ensures that environments in which staff interact for the purposes of sport are free of maltreatment, and are supported by and uphold behavior’s defined in the BC Universal Code of Conduct (BC UCC). PacificSport Fraser Valley is committed to upholding SafeSport standards as a requirement of both provincial and federal funding.

True Sport

True Sport is a series of programs and initiatives designed to give people, communities and organizations the means by which to leverage the many benefits of sport from a platform of shared values and principles. Through public consultation, Canadians have told us that they want their sport experience to be based on the values of fairness, excellence, inclusion and fun.

 

PacificSport Fraser Valley Specific Opportunities (Lower Mainland)

XploreSportZ Multi-Sport Program – We are looking for coaches to introduce their sport at our weekly programs. This is a paid opportunity, we introduce 1 new sport a week, the commitment is for 1 session. If interested in more information, please email Teagan.

Field Testing Kit Rentals – PSFV offers timing equipment, vertical jump testing, hand dynamometers, tape measures, stopwatches and metronomes. Cost is $150.00 per weekend. For more information and availability, please email Larisa.

Functional Movement Screening – PSFV offers a full Functional Movement Screening Testing. Complete with staff, equipment and a results summary. For a quote, please email Larisa.

Program Surveys – PSFV offers a full custom program survey, which will be sent out to the group of your choosing, followed up with a detailed response report sent via email. For a quote, please email Larisa.
